As my 45th birthday approaches, I grapple with overwhelming pressure to host a grand celebration that includes friends and family. Everyone keeps telling me this is a significant “milestone” year, filled with expectations to pull out all the stops—throwing a lavish party, planning an extravagant vacation, or indulging in a fancy dining experience. However, I feel entirely the opposite. What resonates with me is the simple desire to wake up on my birthday and genuinely feel good about the day ahead.
I don’t yearn for anything extravagant; I want a moment of solitude where I can rise, take a deep breath, and fully embrace the gratitude that comes with completing another year. The small, quiet moments intrigue and captivate me—the warmth of the morning sun streaming through my window, the sound of birds chirping, or the aroma of freshly brewed coffee that brings a sense of comfort.
Having faced numerous challenges over the years, I recognize that just waking up and witnessing the beauty of a new day is a precious gift. It fills me with a profound sense of peace and joy beyond any grand celebration. HAPPY IT’S ALMOST YOUR BIRTHDAY TO ME!❤🌹🎂
